Detox For Function

I have spoken about detox several times before, and I still believe it deserves serious attention now more than ever. Ideally, in a perfect world, we wouldn’t even need to worry about detoxing. We wouldn’t need all these complex modalities that we have had to experience, test, and carefully research the science behind. We would simply eat the wholesome food we grow ourselves and maintain vibrant health naturally. However, because of the reality of the world we live in today—with pollution, processed foods, and environmental toxins—we absolutely have to detox. Yes, getting the correct minerals, vitamins, and nutrients is crucial for our intake, but just as important is how efficiently our bodies eliminate the toxins. So, to counteract the damage caused by consuming bad foods like fast food, heavily processed items, and excessive amounts of sugar or carbohydrates, we need to actively support our lymphatic system and endocrine systems to keep our bodies functioning optimally.

Opt for creating food at home whenever you can. I highly recommend this approach! By cooking your own meals, you have complete control over how many hands touch your food. Energy is a real thing, and you can channel your energy into creating a healing, nourishing meal. Or maybe you just want to boost your mood and feel happy. There’s truly nothing like putting that positive, good intention right into your own food. Personally, I prefer choosing healthy, delicious snacks made at home—it's far better than grabbing something from a store that’s been sitting on shelves, processed, and handled by countless people. For those foods that are snacks and good eats make sure that you minimize the sugar you intake.

Healthy snacks i create and take to work

  • I make a protein chocolate mousse or pudding. It's high in protein and low in sugar, sweetened with maple sugar and a bit of organic vanilla. Add chia seeds and your choice of milk—I use organic whole milk. Use 100% cacao and organic Greek yogurt. Stir and chill in the fridge for at least 1 minute. This is the best snack: tasty, high in protein, and very low in sugar.

  • Another good option I often choose is a high-quality goat cheese. I cut a few slices and grab some fresh fruit, mostly apples and pears, which are perfect for travel. I also bring along a small container of olive oil to drizzle a bit in a small container. Eating some olive oil, cheese, and fruit together is not only tasty but also helps increase your fiber intake. I absolutely love this low-calorie snack, especially when I’m on the go. As you cut the cheese, do so with intention—knowing it will provide the nutrition you need to stay energized and healthy. Or perhaps you have other health goals in mind; whatever your intentions, be mindful. Take the time to savor every bite, thoroughly enjoying the flavors. Chew your food up to 80 times and notice the difference it makes in your digestion and detox process. The simple act of chewing well can transform how your body absorbs nutrients and helps you feel more balanced overall.

  • I love to make berry smoothies with a protien powder. I always add Chia seeds to those to help give a better fiber boost, as well as other Nutrient rich benefits. (make sure if you are struggling to maintain blood sugar levels and they are high, to not blend your bananas. They raise your levels significantly when blended.

When you need to go somewhere, pick the stairs instead of elevators or escalators. Enjoy it. Stay positive. Tell yourself, "I'm making a great booty" with every step. Know your limit—don’t overdo it. Just aim to be better than yesterday. We all improve in our own time and way.

I will and always, without a doubt, forever die on the hill of a baking soda hot bath! This bath will completely suck your soul clean like nothing else , it will also aid in the detox process. The way my aura refreshes and comes spotless after I take one is absolutely outstanding! For maximum success and the full cleansing effect, I strongly recommend maintaining the bath for a full hour. Remember to add cool water as needed once you’re fully settled in to keep the temperature comfortable. Be sure to drink plenty of water or tea throughout the detox process—this not only helps hydrate but also promotes healthy bowel movements. Beyond that, baking soda baths can improve various skin conditions and play a powerful role in aiding the body’s pH balance, leaving you feeling revitalized inside and out.
