8 Laws Of Health
There are 8 laws of health that, when combined effectively, can truly help you begin your journey toward healing and maintaining a strong, vibrant, and healthy lifestyle. Those laws are essential to us as humans to maintain a healthier body. I understand that most, if not all, people have health issues they've likely been trying to address for quite some time without seeing much improvement. Or perhaps you find yourself in the frustrating position of being a medical mystery. In fact, my doctors used to actually use that label for me, leaving me feeling lost and unheard in the healthcare system. I want to give you, more than I had.
I am going to list them in this concise blog post, going into detail and providing specific examples of each principle in other blogs. My goal is to help you gain a clearer and deeper understanding of why, when combined, these principles can transform your health. They have the power to support healing that extends beyond just your physical body, improving your overall well-being in profound ways.
The way I was taught to remember these principles is by an acronym call ” NEW START,”
1.Nutriton
2. Exercise
3. Water
4. Sunlight
5.Temperance
6.Air
7. Rest
8. Trust
The amount of control it took for me to not dive into each one right here was immense. I want you to really mull this over, allowing it to deeply resonate and fully soak into your consciousness. This is because I want to emphasize the importance of each of these 8 laws as much as possible. By breaking them down into small, manageable steps and then combining them all together, you will see your health transform and be in absolute tip-top shape before you know it.
Natural Pain Remedies
There are many different types of ways to relieve pain. No, I am not just talking about drinking some whisky or vodka and trying to numb yourself temporarily. I’m referring to reducing inflammation and swelling at the source. I mean going beyond a simple Band-Aid approach that only masks the pain by dulling the nerve receptors and covering it up. True relief comes from targeting the root causes and addressing them head-on. There are many different effective ways to achieve this goal of reducing pain naturally. Some of the most common and time-tested methods include using a poultice, applying a compress, and utilizing hot and cold therapy. Additionally, taking natural remedies internally, enjoying soothing soaks and baths, sipping healing teas, and incorporating mind-body approaches all work together to help move pain and significantly reduce discomfort. Let’s dive deeper into more techniques and explore how to use them daily to tackle those persistent aches and pains with confidence.
First off, I want to be clear that I am not a medical doctor. I am a Naturopathic Practitioner with a solid understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. In fact, I’ve completed several courses related to the human body, including EMT classes, First Aid training, and many more certifications I could list. My knowledge has grown exponentially—at least tenfold—beyond the formal education I’ve received. This growth is largely due to hands-on practice and continuous learning in everyday life. Additionally, my experience includes time spent studying alongside other Naturopathic Practitioners and like-minded individuals who deeply explore their knowledge, apply it in practice, and confirm its effectiveness through tried and true testing. With all that said, I will proceed, and I encourage you to take what I say with a grain of salt.
Poultice- soft moist mixture of herbal ingredients, such as charcoal, flour, mustard, my favorite’s are potatoes, tumeric root, cabbage and ginger. I also use garlic and onions depending on the specific need to draw out impurities or detoxify harmful substances from the body. However, a poultice is applied either directly onto the skin or placed on a cloth before being gently pressed onto the affected area. Its best uses are to effectively draw out infection or toxins, soothe persistent pain, and ease inflammation. Ultimately, its main purpose is to actively promote faster and more natural healing within the body. Poultice is more of a paste.
If you are needing relief from itching ,insect bites or maybe have a rash, you can make a warm flaxseed poultice with charcoal, and place it over infected bite or area, and it will sooth and detox out and give relief. I like to add Castor oil to my face after removing this. It makes your skin super soft as well. I am sort of known to be the potato lady. When people come in with injury and pain. I usually tell them how to create a potato poultice.
Compress- A cloth soaked in liquid. Usually herbal tea, water or essential oil solution applied to the skin. This is used to reduce swelling and ease pain. I like to boil a cloth in hot water and chopped up ginger. I creates a warm compress to put on your muscles for tesnion or like i like to use it for my foot. I’ve had continuous damage to my right foot. It really aches during the winter. I get fresh ginger chop it up boil it and put a warm cloth in to soak up all the goodness.(you can use powder form as well). I then wrap it around my foot as a compress to help relieve the tension in the tendons which aids in relief. There are more things it does. however for this purpose This is how it helps.
Herbal Remedies- plants put in capsules, to smoking plants, herbal applications like comfrey root, tallows are amazing and I love using infused tallows on my scrapes, my face my dark circles from days of Chemo, Essential oil applications.
Hot and cold Remedies- Use a cold cloth for numbness, sharp pain, sprains, or swelling. Use a hot cloth for relaxing muscles, improving circulation, chronic stiffness and cramping.I also use lots of hot and cold water for a foot or wrist.
The best way to ease muscle spasms or recovery from injury is to alternate hot and cold until the pain subsides. Best example I've had recently is my Son had to have part of his toenail removed due to being ingrown. It still bothered him for 2 years after. I had him get 2 buckets one with warm water one had very cold water in it. I made sure to have him alternate back and forth after a bit. When he was done his pain subsided. He rarely has the pain come back. When it does he just does the Hot and cold back and forth.
I know that pain is real, I know It can be extreme and intense. I know it can be debilitating and hard to manage when you are trying to live your everyday life.I know that it may seem more convenient to simply pop an Ibuprofen for quick relief. However, extensive proof and numerous studies conducted over long periods of time have shown that Ibuprofen can cause serious issues, including kidney damage. It can also lead to gastrointestinal bleeding and significantly increase heart risks when used excessively or over prolonged periods. Opioids, on the other hand, are becoming highly addictive and tragically, many cases end in death. It’s not just the addiction that’s concerning, but also the profound and harmful effects these medications have on your body overall.
I want people to think before they do! I know that sounds silly. Or may sound super hard if you dive deep into it. However, Im not here to dive into peoples minds today. That can be another time. OR maybe an Obscenely uncensored podcast for me to do one day.I want people to truly understand the consequences of mindless consumption and what it ultimately does to your mind, body, and spirit. I recognize that in this lifetime, not everyone will choose to open their minds, expand their knowledge, and make a meaningful connection to a greater divine presence, leading to genuine awakening. Knowledge is Power. I have a vast amount of knowledge of this life and into many different life times and I want all to awaken to the knowledge they hold hidden. I hope that you find these different pain modalities helpful. If I get comments and questions I’m happy to respond and answer questions.
