Starting Health Habits

It takes 28 days to build a good habit. Here are some simple healthy habits to start:

  1. Stop drinking energy drinks. They’re terrible for your body! Many ingredients are hard to pronounce or some chemicals sourced from sewage. This is just the beginning of the problem.

The best substitute for energy are amino acids. They break down our foods and create longer lasting energy. I use L-creatine with a citrus drink. I choose lemon & ginger however, I understand people have different tastes. So, choose a citrus drink to help enable the creatine in your body.

  2. Drink Mineral water.

It takes time to adjust. I drink it sparkling. If not, stores have flavored mineral water options. Mineral water is great for your body. Did anyone watch Zac Efron's Netflix show during the pandemic? He covered different waters and their benefits. Avoid sports drinks like Dasani and Smart Water; they're formulated with additives. YIKES!

  3. Stop Drinking Diet anything!

Aspartame is more harmful than the sugar used in soda. If you still drink soda, look for ones with real sugar or, i look for a really good Kombucha. They have come along way in flavor and taste.

  4. Change your Dairy

In the US, the dairy industry is full of bad rules and confusion. I feed my kids goat milk and use it in cooking but, I still can't eat goat yogurt. I keep trying because it’s good for gut health.

  5. Stop eating anything Enriched. (enriched flour)

Check your labels. It might be annoying, and grocery trips (even to health stores) won't be quick. But you're learning, so it will get easier over time. Processed foods are unhealthy. Processed foods are made by removing important ingredients, which leads to deficiencies.
