Self awareness

This topic gets me excited and a bit annoyed all at the same time. All in good reason too. Have you ever been so annoyed with yourself ?Me too. That is the beginning sign of self awareness. I remember hearing when i was a little girl, “Eww stay away from them; they are crazy; they talk to themselves..

I know a lot of people out there who either do, or do not, have an internal dialogue with themselves. This fact honestly; makes me feel a bit uneasy. I want everyone to be the absolute best and most authentic version of themselves at all times. So today, I’m here to awaken you to some powerful self-awareness with practical exercises. These practices will help you learn to recognize and embrace your truth. They will also guide you toward truly finding yourself. After all, an essential part of your overall health is taking care of your mind.. If your mind is not connecting with the soul, you get sick with dis-EASE.

  • Meditation- Meditation helps me clear my mind and reconnect with myself. But my ADD brain can’t sit still for more than two minutes. I use a hack others recommend: L-Theanine with my coffee. With my own twist. The darker the roast, the better my focus. My personal preference is to drink black coffee with no sugar or cream.

  • I love you’s- Most people call these powerful statements affirmations to yourself but, whatever you want to call them, just make sure you do them consistently. I absolutely love looking myself in the mirror every day and boldly telling myself, out loud, “I love you.” You need to hear those words—they matter. You need to truly love you!

  • Talk to yourself- Talk to yourself inside your mind or out loud. Be the sane kind of crazy. Always be kind to yourself. Speak to yourself like you would to someone you love. You are that someone—so say it. My previous job as a Store Manager, my kitchen manager heard me talk to myself often. She now, (when I catch her talking) will respond with “Well… you taught me too.” Talking to yourself gives you better confidence as well as creates a dialogue for you to build on later.

Starting out by creating a deeper and better inner understanding of yourself will effectively help you develop a clearer awareness of how all things are interconnected. This process provides you with a profound and comprehensive sense of awareness, allowing you to see the bigger picture and how every part of your life influences the whole.
